the people behind the training

Who we are

Coosa Valley CPR Training is a small, locally owned business dedicated to providing high-quality CPR, AED, and First Aid instruction to individuals, workplaces, and community organizations. Founded and operated by Yancey Brown, and assisted by his fiancé Lauryn Johnson, our mission is to empower everyday people with the confidence and skills to save lives.

Yancey has been a certified American Heart Association instructor since 2022 and has issued nearly 300 CPR certifications to date. As a career Advanced EMT and the Fire Chief of Lay Lake Fire Rescue, he brings real-world emergency experience into every class. His training sessions are not only informative but also engaging—combining practical knowledge with a charismatic, down-to-earth approach that helps students truly connect with the material.

At Coosa Valley CPR, we’re more than just instructors—we’re responders, educators, and members of the community who care deeply about making a difference.
